Fired in February 2020 after bodycam footage showed he transported a handcuffed, hogtied female prisoner in his patrol car face-down for over 20 minutes while she cried for help. During the Aug. 2019 arrest, the woman (Shataeah Kelly) slipped off the backseat and was left upside-down, pleading ‘I can’t breathe,’ which Huffine ignored. The police chief called it a horrifying breach of duty and dismissed Huffine for extreme misconduct; a Civil Service Commission later upheld his termination.
