On December 22, 2024, during a traffic stop in Robertsdale, deputies engaged in a physical altercation with 24-year-old Logan Tyler Swanson, who pulled out a gun. A deputy fatally shot Swanson at the scene. The Baldwin County Major Crimes Unit is investigating the incident.
