In 2022, Lt. Chad Collinsworth faced multiple allegations including harassment, sexual harassment, bullying, and threats of retaliation. Complaints from employees detailed sexist remarks, such as stating ‘females don’t belong in law enforcement’ and ‘women can’t shoot.’ He was also accused of attempting to pit co-workers against each other and pressuring deputies to alter reports. Collinsworth was placed on paid administrative leave in March 2022 during the investigation and retired on October 1, 2022, following a Retirement and Release Agreement that included a $25,000 payment and a condition that he not seek re-employment with Lincoln County.
