On July 22, 2021, Deputy Bailiff Luke McElfish, along with Deputy Bailiff Justin Coletti, allegedly assaulted a plaintiff by picking him up by both arms less than 24 hours after his reconstructive shoulder surgery and pushing him out of the courthouse through four sets of doors. The plaintiff was transported to the hospital via ambulance after the incident. The plaintiff filed formal grievances and a Tort Claim Preservation Letter regarding this incident.
