In 2012, Officer Mackey was accused of slandering an inmate by falsely stating that the inmate was incarcerated for sexually abusing children. Additionally, Mackey allegedly targeted certain inmates, including sex offenders and homosexuals, by placing them in situations where other inmates were encouraged to harm them in exchange for rewards.
