Garcia, who had served with the Dixie County Sheriff’s Office for approximately 9.5 years, was accused of vandalizing a residence in rural Dixie County. The incident involved breaking windows, tampering with the security system, and causing water damage by turning on a hose inside the home. Garcia had resigned from the Levy County Sheriff’s Office shortly before his arrest. He was released on his own recognizance after being booked into the Dixie County Jail.
