Engaged in racially hostile behavior towards a Black colleague, including making offensive comments, passing gas near the colleague’s cubicle, and striking the walls of the cubicle. In June 2018, the colleague discovered a noose near his workstation, which was perceived as a threat. Hirschfeld had a history of bringing a firearm to the office and was found to have violated a formal directive by entering the colleague’s workspace multiple times. He was terminated on August 27, 2019.
