Officer Edwards engaged in sexual activity with a city employee on city property while on duty. The incident came to light during an internal investigation in early 2018. He was suspended for two weeks without pay by the department. The Public Safety Officer Standards and Training Council also proposed a 30-day suspension of his certification and a five-year probationary period.
