Sergeant Michael Johnson was implicated in a corruption scandal in 2017, where he accepted bribes from local businesses in exchange for overlooking code violations. An external investigation led to his termination and subsequent criminal charges. In 2019, Johnson was convicted of bribery and sentenced to two years in prison.
