    In April 2017, Deputy McClatchy was arrested and charged with two counts of harassment after allegedly following and threatening his estranged wife and her boyfriend. He was terminated from the Sheriff’s Office following his arrest. Previously, in 2012, McClatchy was fired from the Pickens Police Department for posting details of a traffic stop involving Clemson University football coach Dabo Swinney.
