In 2010, former jail captain Michelle Zadra was convicted of nine felony counts of perjury and three misdemeanor counts of official misconduct. She was accused of listening in on privileged conversations between an inmate and his attorney, then lying about it in court. Zadra was sentenced to 28 days in jail, 288 hours of community service, and six years of supervised probation.
