Between May 2016 and September 2018, Officer Barber was accused of conducting repeated illegal, warrantless searches of a citizen’s home, using excessive force during detainment, illegally confiscating cash from the citizen’s purse, and deleting videos from the citizen’s phone that depicted the officers engaged in illegal activities. A lawsuit was filed against him in 2019.
