Officer Nickolaus Rambo was named in a 2021 lawsuit filed by Michael Gillis, director of Hunger First. The lawsuit alleges that Rambo, along with other officers, used excessive force during Gillis’s arrest in August 2020. The complaint claims that officers slammed Gillis to the pavement and placed a knee on his neck, resulting in injuries that required medical attention.
