In June 2021, an off-duty Pawtucket police officer, Daniel Dolan, was involved in a shooting incident in West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Dolan followed a vehicle into a parking lot, approached the driver while displaying his badge, and fired his service pistol into the driver’s side window, striking the driver in the upper left arm.
