In November 2013, Officer Anande Gaiter arrested a plaintiff who alleged violations of due process and Miranda rights during custody. The plaintiff claimed that Officer Gaiter threatened to keep him in custody until his court date and failed to appear in court, leading to the dismissal of charges. The plaintiff also alleged that the City of Wadley refused to clear his name, resulting in ongoing restrictions on his driving privileges and higher insurance costs. The case was documented in Jackson v. City of Wadley, CV 114-221.
