In September 2019, Officer Anthony was involved in the arrest of Mr. Anderson, who alleged that Anthony and three unknown officers used excessive force by pulling him from his vehicle and slamming him against it, causing re-injury to his neck. Anderson also claimed that Anthony illegally seized his lawfully possessed handgun and ammunition, withholding them for over a year and a half even after the dismissal of criminal charges. Anderson filed a lawsuit against Anthony and the City of Prichard, asserting violations of his constitutional rights, including false arrest, excessive force, and unlawful seizure of property. The case was documented in Anderson v. City of Prichard, Civil Action 21-00388-B. [Source: https://casetext.com/case/anderson-v-city-of-prichard-2%5D
