In March 2022, Deputy Blake Hicks of the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office, who was assisting the Wetumpka Police Department, was involved in the arrest of Tristen Quinn. Hicks was seen in a video kicking or stepping on Quinn’s face while Quinn was handcuffed and lying on the ground. Hicks testified that he tripped over a taser wire and fell on Quinn.
