In April 2024, Officer Camden Burch was charged with reckless homicide in the death of Frank Tyson, a 53-year-old Black man. Tyson died after being handcuffed and left face down at a social club following an arrest. Body-camera footage showed Tyson repeatedly stating he couldn’t breathe, but officers dismissed his pleas. The county coroner ruled Tyson’s death a homicide, citing a heart condition and drug intoxication as contributing factors.
