In 2016, then-Sgt. Christopher Wihbey engaged in a sexual relationship with a domestic abuse victim, leading to allegations of harassment against the victim’s romantic partner, Tony Juraska. Juraska filed a lawsuit claiming that Wihbey directed multiple arrests against him between 2019 and 2020 to harass him. In December 2020, Wihbey was demoted from sergeant to patrolman for ‘inappropriate’ text messages to an alleged crime victim, citing conduct unbecoming an officer and malicious gossip.
