Former Officer Doreen Spiotti was terminated in 2010 after an internal affairs investigation concluded she lied under oath. She filed a lawsuit alleging wrongful termination due to gender discrimination and retaliation for a previous lawsuit. In July 2017, the Connecticut Supreme Court upheld the dismissal of her claims, affirming that her termination was justified based on findings of untruthfulness.
