In 2012, Officer Duhaime was involved in a lawsuit where he was accused of using excessive force during an encounter with a citizen who failed to produce identification. The court found that the allegations, if true, would constitute a violation of the Fourth Amendment, and denied Duhaime’s motion to dismiss on qualified immunity grounds.
