On February 24, 2020, Officer England responded to a 911 call at the Rana residence. He allegedly began yelling at a resident’s nephew, prompting Ms. Jafary to question his behavior. Officer England, along with Officer Ward, reportedly engaged in aggressive conduct towards Ms. Jafary, leading to her arrest for obstruction based on allegedly false statements. Ms. Jafary filed a lawsuit against Officer England and the City of Beckley, alleging violations of her constitutional rights. The court denied Officer England’s motion to dismiss, allowing the case to proceed. ([casetext.com](https://casetext.com/case/jafary-v-city-of-beckley-1?utm_source=openai))
