On October 10, 2019, Officer Fox conducted a traffic stop on Mr. Grayson-Bey in Detroit. During the stop, Officer Fox ordered Mr. Grayson-Bey out of the vehicle and, upon receiving a ‘moors traveler card’ instead of a standard driver’s license, placed him in handcuffs with the assistance of another officer. Mr. Grayson-Bey filed a lawsuit alleging unlawful arrest and violation of his rights.
