Officer Gregory Dendinger participated in two raids on the Capri Club in December 1990 and March 1991. During the raids, patrons and employees were detained at gunpoint, searched, and subjected to excessive force. Officer Dendinger was specifically noted for threatening a patron who requested to use the restroom, telling him to ‘shut up, or I’ll shut you up myself.’ The raids led to allegations of excessive force, unlawful detention, and violations of Fourth Amendment rights. The case was documented in Swint v. City of Wadley, 5 F.3d 1435.
