In 2005, during a traffic stop, Anthony Rogers was subjected to multiple Taser deployments by officers, including a Riverdale Police Department officer. Rogers alleged excessive force, claiming he was tased four times, including while handcuffed and restrained by multiple officers. Dash-cam footage showed Rogers being tased twice while restrained and later pulled from a police cruiser and tased again. Rogers filed a lawsuit seeking damages for the alleged excessive force.
