In 2023, Officer Jacob Rapoza was charged with second-degree child abuse after a young boy was brought to Hasbro Children’s Hospital with injuries. He was also charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of simple assault in a separate case. Rapoza was suspended without pay following these charges.
