In December 2022, Officer Cook pulled over Anthony and Jennifer Story due to a bumper sticker on their vehicle. He threatened to arrest Anthony if the sticker was not removed immediately, forcing him to scrape it off in cold weather, damaging the car’s paint. A complaint was filed, but no disciplinary action was taken. Cook resigned from the department in 2024.
