    In August 2020, Officer Thomas accompanied domestic violence victim Joelle Tanner to the hospital and allegedly made her uncomfortable by rubbing her hands and turning off his body camera when no nurses were present. He later visited her home socially on multiple occasions, leading to a complaint. The police chief defended Thomas, and he continued visiting Ms. Tanner even after her complaint.
