In May 2020, Officer Criddle was placed on administrative leave after allegations surfaced that his wife made racist comments on social media. Investigations later revealed that an impersonator had created a fake account to post these comments. Both Officer Criddle and his wife were cleared of any involvement, and he was reinstated to full duty in February 2021.
