Create And Track Police Department History

In March 2023, during a ‘Big Fight’ training exercise at the Southwest Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, Officer Mike Fisher, serving as an instructor, engaged in physically intense combat scenarios with recruits. He applied headlocks, punches, and chest compressions. Following these sessions, recruit Asson Hacker collapsed and died, while another recruit, Tanner Corum, suffered severe injuries requiring hospitalization. Fisher faced no criminal charges despite the fatalities and injuries resulting from the training methods employed.
