In 2010, Officer Mize participated in the arrest of a woman who alleged that excessive force was used during the incident. The woman claimed that Mize and other officers physically assaulted her, resulting in injuries that required medical attention. A lawsuit was filed alleging unlawful arrest and excessive force. The case was documented in Wright v. City of Ozark et al, No. 1:2012cv00936.
