On April 1, 2020, Officer Recore, along with Officer Gagne, detained an individual, Plaintiff, who was under the influence of alcohol and wearing a knee-high cast boot due to recent ankle surgery. Despite knowing Plaintiff’s condition, Recore participated in tackling him to the ground and placing him in a police cruiser that could not accommodate his cast boot. Plaintiff alleges that the officers were aware of his surgical wound but proceeded with these actions, leading to a lawsuit alleging excessive force and violation of rights.
