On October 7, 2021, Officer Welsh allegedly forced inmate Tony Perales to carry his dinner tray while using his walker, despite medical clearance to use a wheelchair during meals. Perales fell and injured himself as a result. This incident is part of a lawsuit filed by Perales against the Walworth County Sheriff’s Department, alleging deliberate indifference to his medical needs.
