Former New Haven police officer Oscar Diaz was involved in a 2022 incident that left Richard ‘Randy’ Cox paralyzed. Diaz, along with four other officers, was charged with cruelty to persons and reckless endangerment. He was fired in 2023 after an internal affairs investigation.
