On November 8, 2015, Officer Camargo, a 19-year veteran of the Tucson Police Department, was arrested for extreme DUI after being stopped by an Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper. His blood-alcohol content was measured at 0.202, more than twice the legal limit. Camargo was subsequently fired in February 2016 and later found guilty of three DUI-related charges, resulting in jail time, home detention, alcohol screening, and a fine.
