In 2012, Officer Paul A. Gutierrez of the Wickenburg Police Department had his certification revoked due to engaging in sexual conduct while on duty, which is considered misfeasance, malfeasance, or nonfeasance as a peace officer. Additionally, he was found to have been dishonest by providing false statements to the Chief of Police, Internal Affairs Investigator, and other personnel. These actions led to the revocation of his certification on April 18, 2012.
