Assistant Chief Raymond Banks was implicated in the abrupt termination of seven civilian investigators in February 2019. An independent investigation concluded that the terminations were unjustified and lacked due process. The former employees filed a lawsuit against former Chief Alfonso Morales, alleging wrongful termination and violation of their constitutional rights. Banks’ role in providing information leading to the terminations was highlighted in the investigation.
