In May 2017, Sheriff Raymond Rogers was sued by former jailer Dorothy Thomas for allegedly making inappropriate sexual comments toward her. Thomas filed the federal lawsuit after being terminated in November 2015 over a contraband issue involving a county jail inmate. Rogers declined to comment on the lawsuit based on his attorney’s advice.
