In April 2020, Officer Rickey Daughtrey was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation. By July 2020, he was terminated. Daughtrey appealed his termination, and in September 2020, the Shreveport Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service Board ruled the termination process was an absolute nullity, ordering his reinstatement and compensation for lost wages.
