Deputy Police Chief Rob Morin was placed on leave in March 2019 pending an investigation by the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office into allegations including interference with freedom, theft, fraud, abuse of office, and falsification in official matters. In June 2021, he was cleared of any criminal wrongdoing. Morin filed a lawsuit against town officials for defamation and other claims, resulting in a $100,000 settlement from the town’s insurance provider in January 2022.
