In 1999, Officer Robert O. Walker of the Jerome Police Department was involved in multiple incidents of misconduct. He was found to have committed theft and fraud, including shoplifting groceries. Additionally, he engaged in sexual misconduct with a subordinate employee during on-duty hours within city buildings. Walker was also untruthful in various situations, including providing false information to a judge in an attempt to dismiss a speeding citation. Furthermore, he consumed alcohol during lunch breaks while on duty. As a result of these actions, his certification was revoked on January 26, 2000.
