On April 3, 2016, Officer Robert Romano was involved in the fatal shooting of Armond Brown, who was armed with knives and allegedly advanced toward officers despite commands to drop the weapons. Officer Romano fired multiple lethal rounds, resulting in Brown’s death. The incident led to a lawsuit alleging excessive force, but the court granted summary judgment in favor of the officers, concluding that the use of force was reasonable under the circumstances.
