Create And Track Police Department History

In 2013, Officer Ronald Robinson accessed the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and Indiana Data and Communication System (IDACS) databases without authorization to obtain information about a confidential informant. Robinson admitted to this unauthorized access during an FBI investigation, claiming he did so out of ‘curiosity.’ As a result, the Indiana State Police permanently revoked his access to these databases. The City of Gary filed a complaint against Robinson, leading to his termination from the police department.
