Former Officer Ryan Cubells was involved in multiple misconduct lawsuits, including a 2011 excessive force case where a 57-year-old man required staples and stitches after an arrest. He was fired in 2014 after the FBI recorded him bragging about abusing suspects and making racist comments. Four of the lawsuits against him have been dismissed, and one is pending.
