In May 2020, Officer Ryan Moore was named in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of inmate Justin Ciccone. The lawsuit alleges that Moore, along with other staff members, struck and tased Ciccone repeatedly during an altercation, and after Ciccone was subdued and handcuffed, continued to press down on his neck and back, resulting in his death.
