    In October 2019, Officer Sperry conducted a traffic stop involving Timothy and Sidney Coleman. Both brothers filed federal civil rights lawsuits alleging racial profiling and excessive force. In April 2024, a federal jury found Sperry guilty of violating Sidney Coleman’s Fourth Amendment rights. Timothy Coleman filed a similar lawsuit in August 2024, seeking $12 million in damages. The cases are ongoing.
