On May 15, 2020, Officer Scott Fisher was involved in the arrest of Carrie Gregory in the parking lot of the Montana Probation and Parole Office. Gregory alleged that Fisher used excessive force during her arrest, resulting in injuries to her knee. The City of Great Falls initially charged Gregory with misdemeanor obstruction, but the charges were later dropped. Gregory filed a lawsuit against Fisher and the City, which was settled for $35,000 before trial. The court found that Fisher used unreasonable force during the arrest. [Source: Gregory v. Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
