The complaint alleged that Hassell, along with other supervisors, ratified and approved Officer Shadwrick’s conduct by failing to discipline him after an internal investigation into the incident where Patton was assaulted by another inmate. However, the court dismissed the claims against Hassell, finding that the allegations were insufficient to establish liability.
