In February 1997, Sergeant Sieg entered Gary Weatherford’s residence without permission, probable cause, or a warrant, and threatened Weatherford and his family with arrest. A week later, Sieg was involved in Weatherford’s arrest at a public event, which was perceived as retaliatory. Following these incidents, Sergeant Sieg was disciplined by the police chief.
