In May 2019, Sergeant Foster was involved in an incident where he allegedly used excessive force against Wesley Pryor. Foster reportedly twisted Pryor’s left arm, causing muscle and rotator cuff injuries, and kneeled on his neck multiple times despite Pryor’s protests about a prior neck surgery. Pryor filed a lawsuit alleging excessive force and failure to provide medical care. The case, Pryor v. Coffee County, was filed in April 2020 and is ongoing.
